An investigation into sealing materials for vacuum glazing

Vacuum glazing is an innovative transparent thermal insulator that has application in high performance window, especially renewable energy. Different materials as well sealing methods have been adopted to seal windows with different temperatures. The impact of temperatures on layers found significant effects the microstructure seal. This paper seeks investigate specifically glass powder and flux compound (borax) for vacuum glazing. findings experiment conducted show material was rigid some leakage around edge, we this could be stopped by enhancing uniformity within periphery. Also, due intense tensile stress from oven surface temperature at 200 °C, a crack observed side glass. Based above findings, study concludes lower melting below 250 °C addition adhesive (borax flux) should used future seals.
